Bennett Johnson III

Bennett is a partner and the CFO of Oceans Strategies. Bennett has over 30 years of experience in the financial services, investment banking and local government industries. He began his career as an investment banker and Managing Director with A.C Advisory, where he spent 10 years. He ran the execution and pricing for over $34 billion of municipal bond issues. Bennett was then appointed the Budget Director for the City of Chicago by former Mayor Richard M. Daley. As Budget Director, he was responsible for the city's $6 billion operational budget and the $8 billion capital budget for over 40 departments with more than 35,000 employees. In 2012 he became a partner and CFO of Oceans Strategies.
Bennett attended Harvard University where he earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering Sciences. He then received his Masters Degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the London School of Economics.
Bennett serves on several non-profit boards and supports many others around the world.
